An overdue and possibly well deserved slap
It was bound to happen eventually, probably should have sooner, but it was still unexpected. Minor compared to the ginormous drama that enveloped the 'Verse, but maybe in the cover of that chaos is why it happened to me at this time.
The Replicant Order was building its compound in the parcel of land where the chalet I extorted out of x0x0 was on Blue Sun in Hale. I was feeling sorry for myself, watching the construction of the the control tower and other buildings while my chalet was still standing. They said they would save mine for as late as they could.
Emma came to visit me, but it was more than just a friendly visit. She had some inquiries from x0x0. Usually x0x0 handles her dealings with me directly, but Emma had a list and specific orders.
I look out over the Replicant Order Compound. I explain how I made some deliveries there recently.
Emma said that I was wanted for questioning by x0x0 and was to be brought in for questioning about a robbery. I laughed.
I reasoned with Emma as best as I could. However the drama enfolded for Mikie and Sentry and all those trying to help them, it had to be without my help.
